About Midnight Tales Press
Midnight Tales Press Ltd is an independent UK publisher founded by author Samuel F.H. Riding.
Originally established as the home of The Ravensmoor Chronicles, Midnight Tales Press has grown beyond its gothic beginnings and now publishes books for both adult and younger readers, from atmospheric fiction and supernatural storytelling to children's stories and creative activity books.
Our aim is simple: to publish distinctive books with imagination, character and stories that stay with their readers.
Our Story
Midnight Tales Press began with The Ravensmoor Chronicles, a three-book gothic horror series spanning generations of secrets, rituals and supernatural forces.
The series comprises The Oath of Ravenscroft Hall, The Reckoning at Ravensmoor and the prequel Ravensmoor: The First Hunger.
The catalogue has since expanded into children's publishing, including Benjamin the Fox and a growing collection of creative colouring and activity books for younger readers.
As Midnight Tales Press continues to grow, we're also opening our doors to other writers.
Publishing With Us
Midnight Tales Press welcomes manuscript submissions from authors interested in publishing under an independent UK imprint.
Every manuscript is considered individually. Submission does not guarantee publication, and we only offer publication to titles we believe are a suitable fit for Midnight Tales Press.
For accepted titles, we can provide a route to publication under the Midnight Tales Press imprint, including ISBN allocation, print-on-demand production, book-trade listings and distribution, online availability, sales reporting and ongoing publisher support.
Publishing arrangements are discussed with the author before any commitment is made.
There is no charge to submit a manuscript.
For Readers of All Ages
Our catalogue spans different audiences while sharing a commitment to imaginative storytelling and distinctive books.
For adult readers, our fiction explores gothic horror, supernatural mystery and atmospheric storytelling.
For younger readers, our children's range combines colourful stories with themes such as friendship, inclusion and working together, alongside creative colouring and activity books designed to encourage imagination and screen-free creativity.
Schools & Libraries
Midnight Tales Press welcomes enquiries from schools, libraries and other education settings across the UK.
Our expanding catalogue includes books for younger readers as well as fiction suitable for older readers, and we're committed to developing our relationships with schools and educational organisations.
